Position Summary

Teleflex is recruiting for a BlueYonder Warehouse Management System Architect. The BlueYonder WMS Architect will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of BlueYonder (formerly JDA) Warehouse Management System (WMS) solution. This role requires a deep understanding of warehouse operations, WMS configuration, and technical expertise in system integration.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding business requirements, and implementing scalable and efficient WMS solutions. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our software by providing technical leadership, designing robust warehouse processes, and ensuring the overall system meets high-performance standards.

Principal Responsibilities

Planning

• Lead requirements gathering with Supply Chain business process owners and program management to ensure requirements and deliverables are understood and agreed.

• Partner with IT and Supply Chain program management in the planning of scope, schedule, resource, and cost.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between the WMS and other applications e.g. Transport Management Systems, Planning Systems, ERP etc.

Execution

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of the BlueYonder WMS solution.

• Key point of contact for end-to-end BlueYonder WMS initiatives.

• Collaborate with key business stakeholders, system integrators and internal Teleflex teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective WMS solutions.

• Lead the initiation process for new project requests including analysis of possible solutions, scope definition, resource, cost, and schedule planning as they relate to BlueYonder WMS.

• Provide input to the decision process for selection of new software and hardware products and capabilities, highlighting cost, risk, and benefits for evaluation by final decision makers.

• Build and maintain knowledge of the overall solution components, capabilities, and integrations.

• Act as expert support on processes in respective area of responsibility.

Control

• Drive standardization and consistency of warehouse management processes and solutions.

• Review and approve requirements, process, configuration, and functional designs.

• Review and approve variations to the WMS solution.

• Provide solution design and methodology guidance to project team members and system integrators.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams in the implementation of BlueYonder WMS features.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for planning system architecture and design decisions.

• Ensure design is integrated with other functional and technical teams.

• Conduct functional and technical reviews and walk-throughs of solution design documentation.

• Ensure data requirements are attainable and appropriately owned.

• Support knowledge transfer by providing documentation for development teams and other stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities for performance optimization within the WMS and implement improvements.

• Conduct regular system assessments to ensure optimal functionality and responsiveness.

• Ensure adherence to all relevant IT policies, procedures, and computer systems validation standards.

• Develop a best-in-class, diverse, BlueYonder WMS design and delivery organization by attracting, retaining, and developing high performing IT professionals focused on business outcomes.

• Management of the relationship with relevant external consultants, vendors, and system integrators.

• Manage resource assignments and priorities; work with other functional managers to coordinate assignments to projects and other deliverables whilst dealing with changing priorities.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Experience with the BlueYonder WMS software including start to finish deployments.

• Experience in a migration from an SAP WM to BlueYonder solution would be a distinct advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant functional area required (demonstrated super-user experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)

• Minimum of 4 years super-user experience

• Experience in a regulated environment preferred.

• Experience working in a support organization and with SDLC implementations.

• Experience in large scale projects or implementations.
